Lots of white in a home gives me anxiety at the thought of trying to keep it clean, but I am more than willing to admire it from afar. In this home designed again by Maria Santos, it is a heavy dose of white with the warming accent of honey toned wood and accessories. It is so incredibly serene and refined. Eye candy therapy I’d call this. You leave feeling a bit calmer than when you arrived. (Photos: Montse Garriga)

What was formerly a derelict Madrid apartment void of any of its original neoclassical architecture, is now been completely restored and transformed with the help of interior designer Maria Santos. No detail forgotten, no stone left unturned (or in this case, no book spine facing forwards) it is a beautifully curated with Parisian flair. (Photos: Montse Garriga)

I came across this Stockholm apartment on?sk?na hem?and did a double take for a couple of reasons. First, it was suspect that this was a Swedish home. Those lovely Swedes aren’t exactly known for their colourful homes. Second, it was so unique and over the top that I needed to review a second and third time to make sure I didn’t miss anything. A layered space is always a win in my book. I want to discover something new at each glance. If I can evaluate a room in its entirety in 3 seconds, I am bored. Kudos to designer Pontus Nilvander for holding my attention for well beyond 3 seconds. (Photos: Johan Carlsson)

Robert Kime – it’s about time

Posted on Fri, 18 Sep 2020 by KiM

It’s about time I feature the work of London interior designer Robert Kime again; the last time was in 2017. It’s about time is a key phrase here as his spaces transport you to another era and the magic he creates in these centuries-old homes is so inspiring. Restoring an old home and bringing the interior back to its former life would be a dream. Speaking of dreams….that space above. I can’t get enough!
